Gracias to 'Hack for the bottle!!!

Pours an ever so slightly cloudy, bottle conditioned gold/amber with a fluffy white head that isn't huge but likes to hang around a good long time. Very complex aroma - piney, sharp hops (paging Dr. Simcoe, Dr. Simcoe, mouth of the glass please...) with a floral note underneath, followed by a deep, toasty, caramelly maltiness... I may just leave the glass unwashed afterwards and inhale the sucker.

Holy hop grenade, Batman! But it's a round as hell grenade as well - starts with this fresh, attacking, prickly bitterness on the tongue with a piney yet floral aromatic flavor that just blooms in the mouth. It's like the flavor is trying to meet the aroma halfway between the nose and the mouth. But then the best part - there's malt to help balance this bad boy! Slightly caramel-sweet but turning fresh brewed tea-like mid sip. Almost a chewy resinous quality to this brew that is highly appealing. There's oomph here to match the hops. And there's a LOT of hops. Finishes with a brilliant all encompassing hop bitterness, floral and piney, citrusy on the waaay back corners of the mouth, with an underlying tea flavor that's truly outstanding.

Love this beer. The more you drink it, the more you get to figure out its subtleties. Yeah it's a hop bomb - but it goes a LOT deeper than that.
