22 oz bomber I picked up at Green's off Ponce in Atlanta, GA. Served up in a standard pint glass.

A: Pours a really nice dark brown color which I think that it is the darkest brown you can possibly get without it being black. As you pour, the stream appears to let some light through and adds some reddish hues to the pour. As it rests in the glass, it doesn't let any light through but still remains noticably brown. A pretty tame pour gave up about a finger of tan head that receeded down to a fluffy ring. The ring does its best to produce some lacing, but a touch of foam slowly slides down the glass back into the glass. Still a good looking brew.

S: Smells really damned good. Just so much damned chocolate coming out. First thing that comes to mind is that this smells a bit like a packet of hot chocolate mix. Then I smell what is not unlike that smell you get when you open up a chocolate milk. Then still, more chocolate comes out in the form fresh dark chocolate. There is a touch of roasty malt presence, but hands down, this nose is all about the chocolate.

T: Once again, can we say chocolate? A really nice chocolate milkshake flavor comes out with a sweet milky flavor. Lots of milk chocolate along with that hot chocolate mix flavor and dark chocolate. Nicely roasted malt adds a nice compliment to the slight bitterness you get off of the dark chocolate flavors. There is also a nuttiness coming out that reminds me a bit of hazelnut. Tasty.

M: This beer is medium in body and is light on the palate. The makes you feel like you are going to get a thick and chewy beer, but this beer is a touch on the thin side but works. Carbonation is light, no real fizziness on the palate. ABV is light and really doesn't show up in the feel or flavor. Aftertaste is mostly just some chocolately goodness.

D: This brew goes down pretty easily. Lots of sweet flavors but they don't give you that sugar shock sensation. All around solid brew that is quite good. I had been looking forward to this one for a while and I was not disappointed at all. Tis a shame this is just a one off, I would love to see this make the seasonal line or maybe a new year around. Very good indeed.
