A: Pours a calm cayenne copper color from the can to the glass. Head started out weak, but ultimately formed into a manageable, sudsy oatmeal colored head.

S: Very dry and biscuity. Some eggo waffle’s, hazel nuts, caramel, orangish rye aroma and distant pine.

T: Rye comes crashing into the mouth before any other flavor can be identified. Really brash and spicy with aspects of bittering orange peel, pungent rye, black pepper and fermented apricots. Marmalade preserves, little bit of vanilla and red apple offer a touch of spritzy sweetness but not a lot. The malt backbone consists of some more red apple, watery caramel and toaster crumbs. Finishes with the ever present rye, a substantial amount of bitterness and some rubbery tastes.

M: Medium body, straight forward mouthfeel.

D: This was a bit too much for me. The rye was dialed a bit heavy, really over powering the other flavors in the beer.
