Thanks to Westsidethreat for yet another fine bottle.

A - Pours jet black and inky looking. Completely opaque. Small rich cocoa head appears out of nothingness, quickly dissipates, leaving a whisp on the surface and a ring around the glass.

S - Huge chocolatey notes burst into my nose here. Dark, high cacao chocolate. Some cocoa. Lightly roasty malts. Molasses.

T - Huge chocolate tones over-run my palate, just enveloping my tongue. Dark belgian chocolate, bittersweet chocolate and a bit of baker's chocolate. Beneath this I find a smattering of vanilla pudding and marshmellow. Some espresso and coffee notes join the party, with some coffee bitterness going into the aftertaste. Alcohol is almost completely hidden here.

M - Full bodied. Thick and chewy. Very smooth carbonation.

Overall - This beer has held up very nicely for being about 3 years old. Didn't turn thin like many older Imperial Stouts I have been finding lately. Definitely worth stashing a few of these away for a cold rainy evening.
