A Collaboration between Stone, AleSmith and Mikkeller.

Got this 12oz bottle at SouthBay Drugs and Liquor, thanks Joey for holding a bottle for me.

Pours a semi-dull orange color with an inch of foam that quickly settles to a ring, not much lacing to talk about. Looks pretty flat after a few minutes.

First I picked up some toasted malt and spices then I got some yeasty aromas, pepper, a slight metallic aroma, peach, apricots, orange, apples, brown sugar, ground pez candy, Belgian candy sugar, and some wild flower honey. Not bad but the sweet, ground, candy aroma comes off a bit chalky. I'm also getting some bubblegum near the end of the glass.

Taste is similar to the aroma, starts off with quite a bit of toasted malts and a bit of biscuit as well; then the fruitiness, citrus, and spices take over for the second half and a slight bitter and alcoholic, warming, finish. Comes off somewhat chalky and a bit metallic too, not so much to it being overpowering but enough to be noticed. A little more peppery and spicy, it has a spicy bitterness in the finish. Not bad. The slight metallic flavor seems to disappear as it warms up even more…a little grainy in the finish though. A little more malt and fruitiness shines through as the temp increases. Gets a little better as it warms.

Decent mouthfeel with a good level of carbonation.
