Thanks to scthaden for sending this one through the 1,000 Miles (East/West) BIF.

Pours a golden color. A thick and active head forms almost instantly and settles to about a third of an inch. Tiny little bubbles race in single file lines to the top.

Great aroma of orange, spicy coriander, malt, caramel, and a nice addition of star anise. Very intense sweet orange aroma. Some earthy and yeast aromas as well. Then more tropical fruits like mango, and pineapple; also some apple, tangerine, and hints of dried coconut (crazy, I know).

Tastes very similar to the aroma with intense orange followed by the spices, a bit of lemon, yeast, malt, and a bit of alcohol. A little honey as well.

Well carbonated and fairly clean finish, a few lingering notes of tropical fruits. Fairly easy to drink but the orange peel and star anise do become a bit too much after half a bottle, that’s pretty much my only complaint.
