Well since my old review for Celebration was nuked I figured why the hell not do another! This is my 76th bottle of the '09 version, can't seem to get enough. Served in a Surly Pint glass.

Pours a beautiful amber coppery-orange color with great clarity and glow. A beautiful 3+ finger puffy, foamy tannish head has insane retention and leaves big chunky lacing patches all over the glass.

The smell is super hopped with pine needles and grapefruit pith aromas, but still balanced wonderfully with toasted caramel/toffee and medium cereal grain maltiness. The hops rule but are sweetened just wonderfully in the aroma.

Taste is a dead match to the smell; lots of hoppiness in the form of pine sap/needles and backing grapefruit pith with fairly assertive dry bitterness. The malt base adds caramel/toffee sweetness but has a nice toasty dryness to it as well which keeps the beer on the dry side overall.

Mouthfeel is solidly medium with perfect soft carbonation. Starts sticky and coating but quickly turns oily and slick with a dry bite of bitterness at the very end of the sip. No alcohol heat to be found anywhere and the finish is so damn refreshing with a great bite. Maybe a bit more bitterness would suit my hop-centric taste in IPAs.

I seriously have a big problem, I can't stop drinking this beer and have bought way too much already this season. There's not a better winter seasonal IPA out there for the price and Celebration will forever and always be a mainstay in my fridge during these fucked up brutal winters in the Chi. Can't recommend it enough,
