Pours a dark red-amber with an off-white head that hangs around the whole time. Aroma of sharppine/citric hops mellowed by an almost buttery smooth toffee/caramel maltiness.

BIGFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! (traditions must remain...) Starts out with a sweet (Strawberry Quik?), slightly autumn-leaf maltiness and a firm, grabs the tongue bitterness. Caramel comes in quickly and hangs around, along with some piney resinous hops and a warming surge o' alcohol. Slightly sticky, tingly mouthfeel, finish is bitter caramel, leaves, and a very slight burn.

This one's good now, but it should age very, very nicely. Give it eight months and it'll be prime.
