Pours a deep clear golden copper with a small white head that settles to leave a small collar of foam around the edge of the glass. No real lacing is left stuck to the walls of the glass.

Smells of smooth golden malts that have mellowed over time. Same aroma many barleywines get with plenty of age. Rich, warm, with a hint of fruitiness. Little touch of figs and raisins.

Super smooth and rich malty brew. The low carbonation makes is slide across the tongue with notes of rich creamy caramel. Touch of light toffee and a touch of light butter. Bit of toasted malt and then some nice fruity notes come through on the aftertaste. Light honey, hint of raisin and fig, but of lemon.

With a 11.5% ABV this beer shows no sign of the alcohol kick at this point. Drinking very nice right now although I'd think too much more time and it'll develop more of those buttery notes. Drink it now.
