A - Pours a dark, dull chestnut color that is clean and clear. Big, very light tan head looks sort of soapy and is made up of varying sized bubbles. Pretty good retention, especially considering the soapy, cola like look of the head.

S - Big, robust odors going on here. Spicy sweetness with deep caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon and fresh baked spice bread. Some deep dark fruit aroma of black cherry, raisins and dates. Lovely.

T - Much like the smell here, but with an addition or two. The spicy sweetness comes right out with big brown sugar and caramel, accompanied by cinnamon and spice bread. Smokey malt comes in and plays a part, but doesn't overpower. Dark fruits come on with raisins and dates mostly. Smokiness hit again towards the finish, along with a bit more all spice.

M - Medium bodied, with slightly fizzy carbonation. A couple swirls in the glass does wonders.

D - This is simply a fantastic beer. Top for the style and what all others shoud be compared against.
