*Uploading my old reviews, this one has a review date of: 1-21-08. If I can acquire the beer again I will re-review it*

Thanks to ncvbc for the trade, I’ve been waiting for a while to try this one.

The beer began to pour a caramel color but the second half of the can turned it into a muddy, rusty brown color. About two inches of soft off-white foam maintains itself very well for a few minutes.

Big, pungent aromas of citrus, pine cones, acidic fruits, grains, and soft citrus flowers. I’m also picking up some over-ripe grapefruit, a bit of caramel, toasted malts, and sour bread dough. A bit resiny.

The taste presents a fine dose of toasted malts, caramel, grapefruit, lemon, and a slightly sweet and dry finish. I detect a bit of dark berries in the flavor as well. Some bitterness in the finish but it doesn't taste like a fresh hop bite.

Mouthfeel is semi-thick and well carbonated. Not one of my favorite hoppy brews but I wouldn’t turn this one down if offered again.
