Finally got some Dale’s Pale Ale, this is the only canned beer from Oskar Blues I’ve yet to try. Picked this one up today from South Bay Drugs and Liquor (new arrival).

Pours an amber color, copper, with a good inch of foam.

Generously hoppy, pine, grapefruit, and grass hops. The malt profile is mostly toasted with a mixture of caramel and biscuit.

Taste is very toasted with some caramel near the finish. A hop bite is one of the first things to greet you, pine and grass with hints of citrus peel. Lemon and bitter orange flavors are near the finish.

Mouth-feel is pretty smooth, good level of carbonation, a little hint of alcohol in the finish. A little big for a Pale Ale though.

I’d probably buy some more of this, good for the hot summer day. Glad it made it to San Diego.
