Huge thanks to emerge for the border run hook up! Down n' dirty review just to have on record for anyone curious....
A: Pours a really gorgeous, clear medium orange color with a 2 finger off-white frothy, dense head. Recedes quickly, not a ton of taking....shows it's 12% body here.
S: Sweet graham crackery malt, per the label, stands out a lot with an almost bubble gummy/juicyfruit (very tuti-fruity!) explosion right out of the glass....almost reminds me of their here, with that fruitiness. Citrus and floral resinous happiness hits on the deeper sniff. Enticing stuff, stanks hard!
T: Taste follows in line with the smell very nicely. Lots of overripe peaches mixed with hints of bubblegum, golden raisin, some graham cracker, and juicy/resinous citrus/pine/floral hops finish things out towards the end. Lots going on here, very intensely, but its all working together in harmony.
M: Very full bodied and almost a touch syrupy, with resinous hop oils abound. Booze is hidden masterfully for a 12% golden BW, goes down incredibly smooth for being so full bodied and intense.
OI: Another home run from Dan Carey and the Thumbprint series. A very unique bubblegum fruitiness makes this a real treat to savor and dive into, sip after sip, as it warms and opens up. Deceptively easy drinking, has me feeling the buzz after sipping much quicker than I ever expected for such a strong beer. Really nice stuff, curious to see how it ages as the hops die out.
