Thanks go to jhammerly for this one!

Pours a dark, dark amber, perhaps some would say root beer brown. Beautiful khaki colored head, large, full, and pillowy - excellent retention. Reduces down to a 1/4" cap, lumpy and clumpy. Very active carbonation. Gorgeous lacing.

Aroma yeasty and sour (Green apple), with a nice malty, spicy roastyness to it. Some grains add to the experience.

Taste is of roasted malts - toasty, with coffee like tones. Earthy. Grainy. Light bitterness to round it out.

Medium in body, full, smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Mild carbonation suits this well. Very slight dryness to the finish.

Every now and then I like a dark, black ale. They just warm my little black heart to no end. This one is treating me well... Thanks Jimi!
