16 oz can thanks to my boy Murch. Served up in a Becker pint.

A: Pours up a beautiful, glossy black body. Held to the light, the faintest amount of dark red hues push through in random spots but it is damn near opaque. The pour got me over three fingers of dark tan to medium brown colored head. The foam was incredibly dense and creamy. Retention is pretty damn good and lacing is all over the place.

S: As soon as I started pouring this out of the can, I caught whiffs of roasty goodness. Caramel notes mix in with those roasted, chocolaty malts to create an almost decadent like dessert aroma. There is a touch of nuttiness, maybe hazelnut. Touch of coffee.

T: Starts out not much unlike the nose. Caramel and chocolate notes bring a light sweetness along with a bit of roastiness. Coffee is light and overwhelmed a bit by a heavy nuttiness. A hop presence comes out of nowhere and certainly wasn't hinted at in the nose. Grassy and a touch herbal. There is a slight, metallic/tinny note, but thats the only complaint I can come up with.

M: Medium mouthfeel with a moderate carbonation. A touch creamy but finishes a bit watery. On the palate, it starts off sweet and completes with some light bitterness. ABV is not a problem and isn't noticeable. Aftertaste is a bit of that metallic note along with grassy hops and roasted malts.

OA: I have wanted to try this one for a while for some reason, and I wasn't disappointed. Tasty stuff and it certainly has a bold flavor and aroma profile. Lots of stuff going on and that look is just beautiful. Only gripe could be that metallic quality in the taste but it really is minimal. Just a tasty ass, standard porter. Dig it.
