A: Christ, the cork popped like a gun. Scared the bajesus out of me. Even pouring this beer slow produced a head that dominates 85% of the glass. This one is going to take a few minutes to pour. Head is full, creamy and towering over the glass, a subtle bisque color. Body appears thin, hazelnut color.

S: Overall a toasted nuttiness to it. Also some powdered cocoa, dry charcoal and little bit of dark grape juice.

T: Begins a bit sour with aspects of minor sulfer and cheap chocolate. Some dry dark fruits…perhaps raisins and dark plums. Get some carbon flavors mixed in as well. After the swallow as the beer warms, a solid burnt butter and brown sugar flavor takes the beer to completion.

M: Medium body, fluffy like a milkshake

D: I don’t really like the way this beer starts but I do like how it finishes. I love those roasted buttery finishes in porters. Oh well.
