I opened this bottle at the Port 2nd Anniversary pre-party tasting.
Poured pretty dark with some ruby edges when held to the light. The aroma was pretty good. It had some smoked meat, chocolate and ash aromas. I like how the smoke was done in this beer. I am not a big fan on smoked beers but this one was well done on the aroma and taste. The taste was similar to the aroma, smoked malts upfront and followed by chocolate and nutty malts as well. Well carbonated and smooth. A very easy smoked porter to drink. It has enough chocolate to balance out the smokiness.
