A - Pours an orange/apricot body with a slight haze to it. Butter colored head is about an inch thick and made up of varying sized bubbles. Good retention with some sticky web-like lacing.

S - Strange, I smell big roasty malts here. Then I get some very resiny, herbal hops. Very rich. Burnt caramel.

T - Much the same as the smell. This is not your ordinary DIPA. Starts out with a big burnt toast flavor, which quickly works into burnt brown sugar. Some herbal hops follow and sort of slowly fade giving way to more burnt sweetness. Aftertaste sort of creeps up on you and actually increases into a nice hop bitterness.

M - Medium full bodied. Sticky and a bit syrupy. Carbonation is a bit biting.

D - This just isn't what I am looking for in a DIPA and surprising for a West Coast DIPA. The hops aren't as pronounced until the aftertaste and the malt almost dominates the hops.
