After hearing and reading some good reviews on this one I decided to go to SouthBayDrugs and buy two small bottles of this to try tonight.

Pours a clear, light amber color with a creamy inch of foam on top. Decent retention and a bit of lacing as well.

Yum, pine and citrus candy on the nose, pineapple, mango, papaya, orange, peaches, lime, hints of grass, and a sweet and slightly nutty malt background. Resiny hop aroma, a good dose of pine upfront but eventually yields to the tropical and citrus hops. Hints of biscuit in the background with a touch of caramel. I can’t deny that this smell very appetizing.

The taste is quite different from the aroma. First I get a mixture of toast and bready malts on the front with hints of toffee and a bitter tropical finish. Pine flavors are evident in the finish. Bitter grapefruit, lemon rind, un-ripped peach, and bitter orange can be tasted in the finish. A sweeter orange flavor develops on the 2nd and 3rd sip. I can taste some zesty wheat flavors after a few sips. Definitely more wheat flavors later on. Somewhat of an odd wheat zest, sweetness, and bitter hop combination of flavors.

High carbonation, not sure if it’s the carbonation that slightly stings the tongue or the hop bitterness, maybe it’s a combination of the two. Full bodied.

Pretty good beer overall, wouldn’t mind having again, not blown away as I first thought I would but hard to beat for the price.
