Bottle from Liquid Solutions in March. Poured into my Darkness tulip thanks to beastiefan2k. Bottle is batch number 75 from May 07.Pours pitch black with a nice mocha head that never fades away completely.
Aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, citrusy hops, roasted/burnt malts, a little ashiness. some licorice and a slight bit of booze.
Flavor is more chocolate and cocoa, a bigger citrus hop presence, some roasted/burnt malts with a huge licorice and bitter roast finish.
Thick viscous mouthfeel, not quite up to Dark Lord but pretty close.
This sort of reminds me of Expedition which is my all-time favorite RIS, but its just not quite there for me.
