Old Review
12 oz bottle thanks to the beer gnomes in my fridge. Served up in a standard shaker pint.
A: A slightly darker color than golden straw that is crystal clear with a finger of white foam on top. The head has some pretty good staying power actually. Lots of active carbonation going on here.
S: Smell is of mostly sweet grains, a touch of hops, and a slightly bready malt. Not a whole bunch moving here.
T: Taste is good for what this beer is. Really nice grains presence, with the flavors of warm buttered bread in there. A touch of citrus in the mix, along with a light presence of hops. Tastes good.
M: This beer has a pretty heavy carbonation. It is also a touch thin. It is a bit watery for what I want from this beer but it is still very crisp and refreshing.
D: This is a good, sessionable brew. You can't write a novel about it, but it is what it is. I can't help but go to Guinness for my session brews because I don't find them to be bad at all. Fine beer and gets the job done it set out to do. Can you ask for more?
