I got this one in a trade with franksnbeans, thanks.
Pours really dark and thick with a good inch of brown foam. Great lacing and retention.
Smells of cocoa, toffee, hints of coffee, some wood notes, and slight aromas of chocolate covered cherries. The aroma is not a strong as I thought it would be.
Taste of coffee, cocoa, bitter chocolate, a bit of raisins and roasted malts. Slightly alcoholic in the taste and finish. Tastes less bitter/burnt when it warms up to room temperature; also the chocolate and powdery cocoa flavors are more pronounced at a warmer temp.
Definitely above average RIS, but I was expecting to be more impressed from the Yeti.
