This one is either a 2005 or 2006 bottle.

Color is black, with tan foam. That settles down nicely. Smell is thick with with roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, etc. All the yummy things you expect in a good breakfast. Even slightly sweet, which surprised me. The taste is equally appealing. I've had several of these, and the first taste never gets old. You get the roasted taste, along with a hint of coffee and semi-sweet chocolate. It just sticks with you and reflects the thick feel of the beer. The oatmeal also comes out with a smooth, almost velvet feel to it.

Overall, this is one that never disappoints and can stand up to some aging as well. Opening a new bottle you just bought? You'll love it. Opening a 2yr old bottle you've had in your cellar? You'll love that one too. Another in a long line of great bottles from Founders.
