Pours a very dark, rich looking black-ever so faint amber highlights here and there. one finger dark- nut brown head, receding quickly, leaving behind a nice crown and lacing.

Aromas of dark chocolate, molasses and licorice-wonderfully toasted malts, and accompanied pleasantly by that familiar hop scent.

At fist taste-sweet chocolate and licorice, turning more so into a coffee taste, then ending in a very enjoyable toasted/burnt grain taste, with a slight hoppy bitterness adding to the long lasting finish.

Body is medium to full, with the mouthfeel being slick and almost creamy. A bit dry throughout, slightly more noticeable in the finish-very nice. Carbonation is excellent.

I like this "Imperial Porter". This is more Stout- like than some Stouts out there. This one is always on my buy list do to it's enjoyability factor for me. Call it craving...
Highly Recommended!!
