Described on the bottle as an Imperial Rye Pale Ale. 88IBUs.
A - Pour creates a small, but sturdy tan head made up of tiny bubbles. Great staying power, as what started is still almost completely there. Sheets of lacing stick to the sides of the glass. Body is a vivid orange color with a slight chill haze to it.
S - Grassy and fruity hops right up front. Fruits tend towards orange and a bit of pineapple. Sweet pale malts. Rye is obvious. Biscuity.
T - Starts off sweet, with biscuity, bready malts. Rye comes right on in, strong and bold. It sort of creates a bridge to the hop flavors. Centennial is obvious with it's signature citrusy flavors. Nice herbal flavor comes right after the citrus, and then is followed by a light spicy flavor. More sweetness comes in at the end, but I'm having a difficult time placing the flavor. Mildly bitter finish with a surpringly clean aftertaste.
M - Medium bodied with a smooth feel to it.
Overall - Nice flavorful brew here that is well balanced and all too easy to drink. If I didn't read the bottle, I may have guessed that this one is 5-6%, certainly not 8%. Will be gone in a flash.
