Thaks to WeisGuy, and cvstrickland (many, MANY times - keep 'em coming!!!) for this one!

Pours blacker than black. One finger mocha colored head takes form up top. Nice retention-dwindles down to a collar around the glass. Sticky lacing.

Aroma is of well toasted malts- heavy licorice with hints of dark bitter chocolate, molasses, dark fruits (raisins, plums) and grains. Awesome!

Taste follows the nose with strong bitter chocolate, coffee, prunes and molasses. Somewhat bitter, sour(!) and slightly smokey - all this carries through the dry and warming finish.

Medium to full in body, smooth, creamy, thick, and very sticky mouthfeel. Carbonation is excellent. I love the slightly dry, warming alcohol nature that balances the mouthfeel for this one.

This is excellent! A true sipper - warms the the heart and liver - this one has everything one could want in an RIS, with a slight twist here and there. I think this would be an prime candidate for aging...
An true example of what I believe an RIS should be... I love it!
Absolute Must Try!!!!
