Poured into a 6 ounce taster.

Not much to look at, to tell the truth. It poured out hugely carbonated, and looks a muddy brown color in my glass. Decent lacing.

Looks can be deceiving. The smell is amazing. The brandy aging is immediately apparent, overpowering the normally strong Old Ale flavor, but not entirely. There's still figs and fruits in the aroma, but they are improved and accented by the aging.

The taste isn't quite as good as the smell, but it is still solid. Bitter alcohol dominates, a fruity old ale middle and hot brandy finish. The aftertaste is cararmely and pleasant.

Thick enough, but not too much so as to make the beer difficult to drink. Just right.

This one blows the last Drake's Barrel Aged offering I tried out of the water. Well played Drakes, well played.
