Color is dark brown, very minimal foam. not much light getting through, slightly darker than most other doppelbocks I've had. Smell is almost all coffee. Some semi-sweet malts, but not much. Taste is a lot of coffee up front, then a slight malt sweetness and some roasted hints at the end. Coffee and a slight chocolate after-taste lingers a little while. Feel is minimal, as the carbonation doesn't even seem to be there. I think I can count the number of bubbles at the top right now. I count nine of them.

Overall, this one is OK but not great. If you really like coffee then you'll like this one more than me probably. As a doppelbock it misses the mark in terms of the malt sweetness and a true example of the style. One its own, it's pretty good but not great.
