A - Pours a very dark brown, completely opaque body. No rays of light coming through this glass. Starts with a small, slightly fizzy oatmeal colored head. Now it's a ring around the glass with some bubbles floating around in a mass in the middle.S - Big tones of coffee and expresso up front. Roasty malts dominate. There is some dark chocolate lurking around, but overshadowed by the coffee. Slight anise in here too.
T - Big, rich and malty. Lots of roasty flavors floating around here, with malt showing it's strength. Day old coffee is front and center here, with expresso highlights. Some light chocolate tones and anise mix in as well. Finsihes with some baker's chocolate and a light roastiness.
M - Full bodied and slightly dry at the finish.
D - Good Impy Stout, but lacks some of the complexity that you see in some of the great ones.
