Color is reddish brown. Dark, not much light coming through. Slightly sour cherry and wood smell. Kinda thin smell though. Taste is cherry sour at first, but not overwhelming. Finish is sour and slightly bitter, but for me could use some more sour.

Not nearly as sour as some Russian River bottles I like so much. Someone noted it wasn't as sour as the Duchesse, but I found it more balanced which was nice. Doubt I'd drink this often, but liked it while I did.

Good sour, but I suppose I'm used to the RRBC sours. And those are definitely sours in the strict sense of the word. This one was more balanced, and worked just fine. Date on the bottom said 9-16-06 and I was about two weeks past that. Not sure if that mattered.
