Vintage 2000. Thanks to BA McAllister for the bottle from a DL Day trade.

A - Pours a nice murky brown body with some bubbles sticking to the side of the glass. Head starts small, with a tan head made of tight bubbles, but reduces to some whisps on the surface and a ring around the glass in a minute. Lacing is nice.

S - I feel like I should open my 2006 bottle to compare. This is quite nice. Big caramel nose with a bunch of belgian spices, belgian yeast and dark fruit. Coriander, nutmeg, brown sugar, toffee, prunes are all present. Can't wait to dive into this one.

T - Well, I guess I will buying some more of this for aging. Big, juicy and sweet. Tons of flavors going on here, let's see how many I can break down here. Starts with the big sweet flavors of caramel and toffee mixed with the fruitiness of raisins and plums. Brown sugar and belgian candy sugar come in, making me almost pucker from the sweetness. Some Belgian spiciness coming through with coriander, nutmeg and that signature beglian yeastiness.

M - Medium full bodied with smoooth carbonation.

D - This beer ages very very well. Time to stock up.
