750ml Champagne style bottle, corked and caged.

A - Huge pop on the cork. Even made the dog look over. Be careful on the pour with this one, foams up big. Normal pour produced 2/3 of a glass of foam that is sort of soapy looking and light tan. Body is a mix of light and dark browns and has a bit of a haze to it. Lighter colors at the exterior of the glass. Good retention for a soapy looking head.

S - Slightly spicy nose with some allspice, a touch of black pepper, and maybe nutmeg. Obvious belgian yeastiness. I don't know how to describe something about this other than it reminds me of some great saisons.

T - Wow, this beer is a trip. Belgian brut all the way up front. Starts crisp and sweet with spices of cardamom and maybe coriander along with nice light belgian yeastiness. Then all of the sudden it hits. Rich belgian chocolates come over the tongue, thick almost for just a second. Mostly milk chocolate flavors. And then, as abruptly as it came, it's gone. Finishes light and yeasty, with a slight sugary sweetness. It's like there was a wave of chocolate that flowed quickly in and out there.

M - Smooth and crisp, with that short period of richness when the chocolate came through. Carbonation is champagne-like, as you would expect from the style.

D - I really like this beer. It's price will keep me from buying it with regularity, but I don't regret buying one at all. I will likely be buying it again sometime.
