Got this 750 ml at Green's off Ponce in Atlanta. Unlike the photo here, mine is out a green bottle instead of the brown. Served up in a snifter. Lets do it.

A: Right off the pour you get a nice golden, honey yellow color hitting the glass. As I examine the body, getting a nice bit of haziness in here. Held to the light, this baby glows, bringing out a more bright and golden color. The pour got me a big two fingers, maybe more, of crisp white head. Head is pretty frothy and thick. Carbonation is vibrant and always feeding this head so retention is nice and long. Lace is on the glass and webbing it up. It has my attention.

S: Getting a really nice champagne, or is that a sweet white wine, type aroma coming out first. May be more like a Riesling, nice and sweet white grape aroma with some tannins coming out. There may be a touch of metallic quality coming out behind this, but its not that bad. Then come some fruitiness coming out with some green apple skin, pear and maybe a touch of peach. The finish of the nose bring some earthy hops and some nice yeast. A nice spring day kind of aroma. Very comforting.

T: The flavor is beautiful. Once again it starts with a very light flavor that resembles a sweet Reisling. Nice and sweet grape flavor that is not overpowering but soothing. The fruit flavors are right there as well with some of that slightly tart green apple, gritty pear and sweet peach. There is a spiciness here that mingles nicely. A nice clove is very well represented and mixes beautifully with a nice touch of sweet honey and a bit of sweet banana (almost a big hefe type quality). Yet again a touch of hops bitterness (oh so light) that has a nice earthiness/grassiness to it. Hay and yeast round it off.

M: Nice medium body that has a nice slickness to it. Big time and crisp carbonation keeps this beer easy drinking and refreshing. This beer is somehow rich but not overbearing to the palate. It just wets the palate and you have no dryness to worry about. ABV is just barely noticable with just a touch of warming glow created once I get to the second glass. Aftertaste is just a touch of that earth along with some of that honey sweetness.

D: You know, this beer just reminds me of summer in Europe. It just seems like something my parents and family would have drank when we had sliced meat and cheeses while socializing with friends in the gardens. It just has that bright and soothing flavor and aroma that reminds me of the beauty of Europe in the summer. Just so refreshing and comforting, like all is right in the world at this moment. I will keep a few bottles of this beer in the house for these hot summer days in Alabama now. Just beautiful.
