Pours a somewhat cloudy ruby to brownish color, with a nice tall almond colored head that reduces to a everlasting ring around the glass. Persistent, active bubbles from the depths--lacing clings to the glass.
Lightly aromatic--kinda caught me off guard a bit. Aromas of fruit-dark fruit, dripping sweet malts, yeast and you know, I really do catch a hint of tart cherries. Nice!!
Heck of a flavor punch here... all kinds of malt action. Fruity, a bit sweet, balanced with a touch of cherry sourness and an alcohol warmth in the finish.
Listing towards full in body, Smooth, almost creamy/sticky mouthfeel. Lush, complimenting carbonation, with a touch of boozy warmth. Fantastic.
I enjoyed this, and will again, and again, and again.
Fantastic with about 4 years on it.
