11.2oz bottle: Pours an almost clear chestnut with a slight mahgoney tone. Slim capping of lightly tanned foam that slides to an always present skim and firmly set collar. Very minimal lacing with only a few droopy strings eventually slipping back into the top.

Muddled molasses and peat aroma; soft and warm with a bit of chocolate and a light tint of brown sugar and cherry.

Taste is mellowing and soft with a nice rounded tone of dark, supple maltyness. Flavors are a nice meld of brown sugar, molasses, with a light cocoa sweetness carrying through to the finish as it sneaks in a bit of the peat found in the aroma along with a very nice deep dark cherry-like warmth to back it up.

Big body with soft delicate warmth wrapped in malty tones and flavor. Smooth, soft, and warm with a dulled dryness flirting at the finish with some woody earth notes.

A nice Doppel, quite warming and soft.
