sweet mother of pearl. let me just say that i had this on tap in Brussels long before i knew what good beer could be and it completely blew me away. set me on a 4 year mission to find it in Wisconsin. when i finally did i scooped 10 bottles in total.

i have had one here and there in the last couple years. but some are as old as 4-5 years. this has to be one of those.

it is simply remarkable. now i wish i had a gift for description like some of you guys cause this one is complex and delicious.

pours a thick golden straw. looks almost like a thin jello with sediment. nice lacing on the glass. good foam head that fades slowly.

the smell is remarkable. like a pungent fruit cocktail. amazing. like a seriously incredible smoothie (maybe i'm on a smoothie kick tonite?). pineapple, apple, strawberry, a number of others i can't identify. it's really pretty ridiculous.

the taste has a funky bite at first but smooths out to a beautiful, delicious, soft candy sweetness that is just perfect. Dany knocked it out of the park. makes me think i should have dated these bottles and drank those that are the same age as this one because this is the best beer i've had in some time.

this is going down so smooth.. on the heels of a Double Simcoe i thought it'd be wise to tone it down a bit.. but i think i'm going to polish the 750 in about 20 minutes. it's absolutely amazing. smooth, crisp, snappy. thought the Double Simcoe might blunt the taste of this one a bit.... but it doesn't. at all. this Saison stands up VERY well.

HIGHLY recommended. simply beautiful effort from Dany. just amazing. my gift for language is lacking here.. and i'm disappointed. this beer is a grand slam.
