Wow, I'm the first to review this one here. Not sure when they released this bottle, but I think it was really recently. Like today or something. I dunno.

The color is dark, with decent retention. Not sure but it looks a little like a very dark ruby/brown. Smell is more muted than I expected, given the alleged chocolate. But you do get the smells of a normal bock - sweet malts, a hint of bitterness. But the chocolate is REALLY not there. Taste follows the smell fairly closely. Plenty of bock-style sweetness from the grains, a little edge from the bitterness, but not much. And the mingling of caramel and dark fruits and a hint of candy sweetness maybe. There's even a quick hint of sourness at the end of the taste. It's good, but again, "Where's the beef?!" (beef = chocolate). Feel is decent, if maybe a bit too much carbonation. But nothing overly aggressive.

Overall, this is one pretty darned good back. But the chocolate is almost non-existent. But for the price and talk, I can see several others in this style being worth it more than this bottle. Not terrible, but not up to expectations for now.
