As apposed to New Jubilation? The pour is a rich and dark brown color with good clarity. A decent white head that hides to the side but never goes away.

A good nose as well with a complex malt aroma. Some crystal and roasted malt flavors mix with a lighter woody aroma. Some lighter plum and a touch of phenolic value as well. A nice spicy hop essence as well.

The taste is rich with malt as well. The malt has a variety of flavors with the roasted malts coming out a little more then the nose first indicated. Some caramel and bit of bready flavors are perceived as well. There is a light vanilla flavor that boarders woodiness. Some sweeter flavors and a phenolic brown sugar taste as well.

The body is good and supports the complex malty flavor. Good carbonation. One deterrent is the phenolic flavor that leaves a harsh alcoholic after taste. Although this is not obnoxious it still is there. Overall I really enjoyed this beer and very nice warming flavors on a cold winter night.
