Review from 06/10/07 (ratings adjusted accordingly)
On tap at the Happy Gnome on 06/07/07.
A - Bright apricot colored body with a nice haze to it. Half inch head is a very light tan color with great retention.
S - Holy crap. Grapefruit in a glass liquified. Tangerine and orange too, bright as day. Malt doesn't seem to even factor in here, but that's fine with this hophead.
T - It's been too long since I have had this beer when it is tasting fresh still. Hops just jump out of the glass with pungent citrus flavors of grapefruit and tangerine. Light pale malt provides the backdrop for the hops to shine. Hops thick enough that you find yourself almost smacking your lips.
M - Medium bodied with sticky, oily hops. Carbonation is fine.
D - I really forgot how good this beer can be. I think that having this after a couple Expeditions might have made the hops even more pronounced than they already were, but it sure tasted great.

Poured from bomber into standard pint glass.
A - Pours a lighter orange color with a nice thick, white one finger head.
S - Ode to the hop. Can smell it without putting it right to my nose. Loads of citrus hops. Pineapple and grapefruit.
T - Floral citrus hops through and through. Very little hint of alcohol considering the 9.7 abv. Tastes just like it smells, pineapple and grapefruit.
M - Super oily hops. Thick, almost syrupy.
D - Great DIPA in the mold of Dreadnaught, but not quite up to that high standard.
