I bet you know where I got this one. Pours a semi-cloudy lemony orange color with coppery hues throughout. A good pour provides a thick fizzy head with good retention and lacing through out the tasting.

The nose smells carbonated, if that is possible. Some Belgian characteristics with a yeasty note with a noticeable lemon and orange aroma. Some lighter phenols and some pepper notes. Some rose and perfume like aromas as well. Some grassy and noticeable hoppy notes as well. More along the lines of a Belgian IPA.

The taste is kind of hard to point out because of the carbonic bite. The Belgium characteristic is a bit smothered. The malt comes out with some bready and biscuit notes. Some chalkiness in the finish. The yeast backs off with some minor phenols. The perfume in the aroma comes out more in the taste with just a hint of rose quality. There is a stronger bitterness as well, with a filmy, grassy finish. Would like more Belgian overall.

The carbonic bite is pretty big on this one. Really hides some of the subtle flavors of the beer. The body is bit dry which enhances the hops a bit more. Overall, to me this is more on key with a Belgian IPA but there some muttled Belgian notes, I would like to see this cleaned up a bit more.
