Slightly hazed light golden pear yellow body covered well at about a pinky high with a white starchy actively crumbly and fizzyish foam. The cap dissolves away simply to a nice thick collar ring and minimal drippy lacing with minimal glaring spottyness sticking to the chalice.

Aroma is medium spiced with peppy yeast dashing with fresh lemon grass, white pepper, chalk, and paprika backed with a slightly sweet bubble gummy malt backing.

Taste is a near perfect reflection from the nose with a milding medium toned spice of white pepper, lemon grass, and feathery light chalky yeast. Nice tang and moderate snap of malt girth in the middle which then grabs the sweet bubble gum esters, pear jam, some breadyness and apricot notes which slowly fades into a fairly complexing yeasty spice and uniquely drying finish of dirt, wood, leaves, and uncooked mushrooms. The balance is decent as the bubble gummyness really encapsulates all the spices fairly well. Some wamrth seeps in after a while and hampers the finish just a touch.

Body is a very solid medium and well-carbonated with the fore mentioned balance with the sweet bubble gum bready maltyness and its yeasty spices. As noted in the taste, the mid range has a perk to it and slowly retreats into a better balance. Especially as it warms. However, ethanolic-like warming tends to also get picked up as it warms and does hinder some of its performance in the flavor and finish.

A pretty solid and drinkable, yet perfectly sip-able brew. Like the label as well with the three bodiced bosomy ladies. A agreeably swell Saison to celebrate Sixteen years of brewing yummyness by Avery.
