Bottled April 2008.

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a frothy white head made up of tiny bubbles. A constant rush of little bubbles make their way from the bottom of the brew to the top. Just a small bit of lacing on the walls of the glass before it slowly slides down to join the small bit of head remaining atop the brew after a couple minutes.

The funk can be smelt when you open the bottle now. Fruity, funky, and slightly tart. Light aroma of adhesive bandages (Bandaid is a trademarked name, name brand association is one of the more subtle threats to the economy). Flowery touch and fig and some pepper. Small touch of clove spice.

Fruity with a nice peppery note and a little sour twang at the end. High carbonation bubbles finely on the tongue. Fairly brilliant initial farmhouse ale flavors with a nice light tartness that is overtaken by a medium sweetness and dry ending. Slight adhesive bandages note on the aftertaste along with the white pepper and a floral note that sticks around. Just a touch of green apples. Easy and fairly light drinking with no sign of 7.68% ABV in aroma or flavor.

The age on this beer has made it great. At the price, it's really great. The brewery had emailed a local liquor store to say it was drinking great now and still won't peak for another year or so. Gonna have to throw a couple more in the cellar while they're still around.

Price: $4.99 Served In: Snifter
