Thanks to KingG for the opp at buying this one. No Alpine in Oregon, yet anyway.

Poured into a chalice. Ruddy brown, with little head - leaves just a ring as it goes. Verrrry fruity nose, wine, cherries, light pumpkin and spice.

Enjoying the tartness here; not overly done, but enough to keep you aware. Definitely wine, little bit of wood, nutmeg at the finish. A little lighter in body than I expected; carbonation is a little prickly, but blends well with the tartness.

This is definitely a different brew than most, and not nearly your standard pumpkin ale. For those more apprehensive to try the "wild ale" style, this might be a good intro for you. One of the better pumpkin brews I've had.
