From the presentation to the pour, Allagash produces some very high quality. Caged and corked 750ml bottle, without any flashy labeling. Classy.

The beer smells wonderful, full of spiciness. The bottle is about a year old, and I think that has produced a more mellowed aroma.

Holy crap, this is a good tasting beer. It's got a strong alcohol component, but it doesn't overhwelm the rest of the flavors, and with as strong of a tripel as this is, I don't think that would have been possible anyway. Again with the spicy flavors, but also some dried fruits and citrus zest. All combined with the typical Belgian flair and aged to perfection.

I wanted to crack open my bottle to find out if it was something I'd like, as I had traded for it but it is now locally for sale. Damn, now I have to go spend some cash to get a couple of these bad boys to age.

Price: $15.00 Served In: Pint Glass
