Vintage 2003, courtesy Westsidethreat.

A - This thing tried to work a head on the pout, but it just didn't have it in it. Fizzed up a little, then left without a single trace. If you just hold it in front of you, it looks darker brown, but held to the light it is lighter brown almost caramel colored and very cloudy.

S - Alcohol is still very present in this one. Bursts with scents of warming alcohol, robust brown sugar, cherry and raisins.

T - Begins with sugary toffee and brown sugar. There is a touch of anise in there too. This turns to an alcoholic cherry flavor with a bit of raisin to it. Finishes with a slight coffee bitterness and vanilla. Vanilla stays on the pallette for about 15 seconds.

M - Full bodied with a touch of a syrupy feel to it. Age has taken away some of the carbonation.

D - Nice beer. I wish I had taken the 2006 bottle I have and had them side by side to see the differences. This one is very sweet, but still enjoyable. If the carbonation held up, it would help this beer a lot.
