This pours black with a good firm head of off white foam and has some good lacing.The smell is of roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, and some caramel malt sweetness but overall, it's more bitter than sweet.
The taste is pretty damn good. Roasted malt, light notes of coffee, assertive flavour of cocoa and an underlying sweet note of caramel that brings some nice balance to the bitter notes.
The mouthfeel is good..medium body, same for the carbonation.
All in all, I'm quite happy with this locally brewed Black Ale. Visitors to Casper should give it a shot.
