Solid oily black, thin tan head about a finger high, very fluffy and thick, fades slowly to a fluffy ring around the edge, lace in minimal super drippy spots. Aroma is quite nice with chocolate and sweet chocolate chip cookie dough, vanilla, slight molasses; a refreshing bakers chocolate nose with just a hint of spice upon bigger wiffs.Taste is mild chocolate, malty darkened and sweet, not chewy, smoothly rendered, slight vanilla and molasses, roasty and semi deep toned. Pretty bold and nearly full feel, lightly creamy, with a light but favorable drying that has chocolate/cocoa and extremely light coffee notes in the finish coming in late. A nice Imperial Stout. Not as hefty or complex as some but a damn nice easy drinker.

A - Pours a pitch black body that doesn't allow even a ray of light through. Starts with a dark tan head that turns into sort of a floating island of thin foam on the surface along with a ring around the edge.

S - Big coffee smell with a hint of alcohol. Bittersweet chocolate along with a bit of peanut butter?

T - Bittersweet chocolate, cocoa, sweet roasted dark malts all hit up front. Not hugely complex as this is what you get through most of the taste on this one. Slightly bitter wash at the end.

M - Medium heavy bodied and silky smooth going down. Slightly prickly carbonation gets in the way just a bit.

D - Solid beer, but prefer Weyerbacher's Raspberry Imperial Stout to this one.
