Color is pale copper with lots of floaty things swimming around about to make a home on my taste buds and one major crown on top that stuck around like a unwanted relative at Thanksgiving. It poured out to reach over three inches high and tumbled over the top of the glass. I wasn't expecting it to explode upon pouring, none the less, the head crumbled very slowly with large bubbles, divets and marshmellowy like lacing attaching itself to the glass like thick spiderman webbing.
The smell reeks of its namesake - hops! and plenty of them. Amazingly sweet, citrusy sharp hop sense with a dry wood-like backing, reminded of super dry kindling cedar firewood. Its like the hops are dried out but made into liquid form somehow? Infusion, eh?
Hops, hops, and what the hell, some more hops, mostly in the middle through to the finish, really not all that strong but makes a welcome presense. Lightly citrusy, floral, woody, earthy drying and a good hop bitterness, but somehow put together smoothly without being over the top or hop heavy.
Medium body a bit lighter then I expected and to me the only real thing lacking in this brew.
A hop heads delight - life is to short to have not tried this hop infusion. Fusion indeed.

Pours a hazy deep copper caramel color with a small white head. The foam settles fairly quickly and leaves just a small layer of lacing on the walls of the glass.

Smells of rich smooth caramel. Nice and slightly sweet. Hint of light toffee in there too. Sweet hop aroma. Nice grapefruit and apricot. Lemon and other citrus aromas are present too. Hint of light pine. Touch of bubble gum.

Fairly smooth caramel malt with a hint of medium toffee. Semi-sweet up front and then a bit of dry sweetness at the end. Hint of toffee. Hops don't come through as much as they do in the aroma. Light grapefruit and a touch of other citrus. Fruitiness is there but not like in the aroma. Much more malty then the aroma let on. Still has a nice bubble gum note at the end.

Thanks to masterchiefmd for this beer

Pours a dark amber color, almost orangish, nice thick 1/2 " head that slowly dissipates. You can see strings of bubbles rising in the glass and the foam from the head seems to stick to the side of the glass.

Citris and grapefruity hops with some sweet malts.

Bitter front end with a hint of citrisy sweetness as you swallow, then another hit of bitternes consumes the tastebuds.

Good mouthfeel for style, nice carbonation and body.

I liked this beer, I felt it had a much better balance then TT wrote about in his review from a coupld of years ago. and the bursts of bitterness were nice IMO.

New version with new label.

A - Pours a nice hazy rusty orange colored body. Thick, one finger head than is tan.

S - Grainy earthy smelling malts. Pine resin with a touch of citrusy grapefruit hops.

T - Intial pine bitter bite works into strawberry sweetness. Some citrus notes follow, but are not at all predominant. Sweet fruits are heavy here, too much imo.

M - Medium bodied with good carbonation. Just right for an IPA.

D - Good beer, but too sweet for my tastes.
