Thanks to Wasatch for this sending this beer as an extra in our recent trade.
Nice looking beer. Pours a low amber color with a frothy, two-finger thick, head. Great retention and thick lacing.
Toasty malts and a bit of fresh biscuit aroma. Earthy and flowery hops on the nose with hints of citrus. Not an aggressive hop profile but a nice delicate touch that interplays well with the toasted and caramel malt sweetness. Some fruitiness from the yeast begins to show up once the hops fall to the background. A touch grassy too, but very minimal, like a stem from a flower or weed.
Toast and a bit of caramel upfront with a low dryness, and low bitter finish from the hops. Earthy and flowery finish with just a hint of alcohol. A very dry toast flavor continues to develop, some grass in the finish as well. Hints of toffee candy in the aftertaste but not necessarily sweet, the finish is well attenuated and dry.
Medium-light carbonation and feel which makes this one very easy to drink. Initial carbonation, dryness and bitterness upfront but sometimes the finish feels a bit watery.
Very good for the style.

Poured from bottle into pint glass.
A - Pours crystal clear golden. What little head there was on the pour is gone in an instant. Some tight bubble rising to the top of the glass.
S - Smells much like the American IPA that it is. Floral citrus notes. Light malt nose.
T - This is more like an English IPA. Bittering hops hit up front with a little bit of citrus that blends in. Very light malt taste, if any.
M - Light to medium bodied. Carbonation is good. Aftertaste leaves a little to be desired.
D - Not bad, but nothing I would go out of my way to get.

The pour is much like the Wasatch PA, just with a better head. Also, another crystal clear medium amber color. The smell is a little week, espcially for an IPA. The taste follows suite, not bad just not an IPA taste. This is a very good brew, just a little week for teh style of the IPA.
