Pale dark caramel brown with a moderately hazey-like body with a small tender crown of dark ivory foam on top. Proportionately distributed lacing in a seizmic needle graphed pattern draws across the glass.

Nut Hugger hugs in a good amount of nuts in the aroma. Very rounded and easy to find on the nose compared to most other browns that usually have barely a wiff. This has a nice tone of nuts to it, toasted hazelnuts and unshelled sunflower seeds mixing well with a bit of soft caramel and light breadyness.

Taste is just as good and likeable with a big hug of nuttyness holding the palate well while caramel and pale bready sweet malts soak in the middle. Touched ever so lightly with a brief carbonation and leafy, tea-like hoppy dryness. Just a tinge of coffee burntness floats off in the finish. Nice subtle complexity all the way through.

Firm, tenderly smooth, nutty sweet medium body with the noted carbonation making its way through the middle. Nice strong finish too. Especially for a brown.

Very solid brew by Upland and one that can mix with the other browns that can be found in the Midwest area. Which is saying alot.
